Missouri calculates support on Civil Procedure Form 14, the mandatory worksheet under Supreme Court Rule 88.01. Both parents' monthly gross incomes are combined, the presumed obligation is drawn from the Schedule of Basic Child Support Obligations, and each parent pays a proportional share.

Rates & Multipliers

Set by the Schedule of Basic Child Support Obligations, which covers one through six children. A revised schedule took effect January 1, 2026.

Income Caps

Set by the top of the schedule. Beyond it the court determines the amount.

Missouri Guidelines

State-Specific Formula

Missouri applies the Income Shares Model through Form 14, required in every case by Missouri Supreme Court Rule 88.01 and Β§ 452.340 RSMo. Both parents' gross incomes are combined, the basic obligation is taken from the Schedule of Basic Child Support Obligations, and each parent's share is proportional to their percentage of combined income.

Important Disclaimer

The Form 14 amount is presumed correct. A court may order a different amount only on a written finding that the presumed amount would be unjust or inappropriate in the circumstances.
